Does That Make Me A Bitch?

Let’s say you really suck at your job.  Hell, let’s just say you moderately suck and you only screw up a third of the time.  Why does that have to be my problem?  I’ve come to accept that people don’t get fired (and by accept I mean it totally sucks and pisses me off) for not doing their job/doing it well. BUT I shouldn’t have to stand in the freezing cold and wait for it to be put right and pay full price for the privilege, ya know?  I mean really.  If you are going to have sucktards for employees the least you could do is compensate your patrons for having to put up with such ineptitude. 

Oh…and a little FYI, I’m only so patient.  Eventually I’m going to snap.

The entire time I was in California I was in a total bitch free zone.  My best friend is a practical angel and she and her little boy are great and even her husband is a great guy.  My flights were perfect, the people I sat next to either interesting or quiet…flight crew was nice and all of my flights were on time.  What’s a girl to do? :)  It was totally relaxing (which is crazy considering we spent a lot of the time unpacking)  Heck I was so motivated that now I want to finish unpacking and cleaning MY house.  While I was gone hubby even cleaned like a crazy man. 

Wow…I’m so gonna have to change the name of my blog.

As we return to Musical Monday’s I thought I’d do an old timey favorite (and by old timey I only mean a few years).  I use to have a really really REALLY bad temper but over the last year and a half or so it has gotten much better.  I’m not sure if that is because I stopped talking to my mother (huge drama there) or if it is because I had a child who makes me crazy  happy.  Or it could be because I stopped working and being around people who drove me nuts and there is less in my home to set me off.  Who knows.  What I do know is this song use to fit me perfectly.  I use to want to go to my doctor and beg for a pill that would make me someone (anyone) else.  Doesn’t really apply anymore (thankfully and hopefully it never will again) but it still rocks.

I’ve been thinking lately about how lucky I am with my sweet boys (hubby and son).  Hubby and I have been married almost eleven years (we got started young) and of all the people who married about the same time….almost all of them are divorced, some for the third time.  I’m still completely in love with him and can’t imagine my life with anyone else and I’m pretty sure he feels the same way.  Sometimes I think we’re the only ones in a stable relationship (stable as in he puts up with me being a complete bitch most of the time, hell he even thinks it’s cute) then I read this. 

Isn’t it nice to hear something positive about relationships every now ant then??

This will be the beginning of what will probably end up being a long and multi post rant. I really dislike Snapfish. I’m going to go so far as to say, as a company it sucks. Even the parent company (HP if you were wondering) pretty much sucks at this point but I’ll wait till I actually manage to get someone at the HP headquarters to talk to me to make that final decision. So why does Snapfish suck? I’ll start with the broad strokes then narrow it down in a later post. Their customer service is incompetent and staffed with people who either don’t know how to do their job or are only capable of telling lies. Add to that horrific shipping charges for items that don’t ship on time and products that arrive and are not what you ordered and you have a company that really blows.

Do yourself a favor and avoid them like the plague. More details tomorrow

Today is listed as interactive on my little blogging schedule so I thought I’d do a Christmas recap.  What did everyone get and did they get what they wanted?  I had a great Christmas!  Not just the toys (teehee).  All of hubbies fam came over and my dad so it was a lot of people, especially for someone who is alone most of the time in her cave (that would be me).  I made dinner and everyone played with the baby and it was great fun.

Now for the toys.  I got a Wii and Wii fit!!!! woohoo.  So much freaking fun I don’t even know what to do with myself.  Hubby and I keep buying more games (MarioKart is crazy addictive) and getting to knock him out in the boxing game is quickly becoming a favorite way to pass the time ;)  Not to mention a great way to get away with my violent tendancies ():o)

Also, got an aero garden so *maybe* I can grow some of our own veggies this year.  The maybe is because I have the blackest thumb ever.  ::sigh::

So….how was everyone’s Christmas?  Any cool and addictive new toys? (or great religious or family experiences if you aren’t all shallow and materialistic?)

Alrighty.  I know it is a cliche but I’m doing resolutions today and want to be accountable to someone other than myself so I’m putting them on my various blogs.  This blog is going to be dedicated to my writing goals. 

·         Meet Deadlines - This is really hard for me because I work best when I know I’m going to get slammed if I suck.  Apparently a lot of writers really suck and so my editors, who I totally love, don’t slam me like they should.  So now I’m self imposing the slamming.  Really I’ll just pretend like I’m my own editor because I’m a total bitch to work for:)

·         1k  per month in residuals by July.  ::gasp::

·         Write 2 Ebooks.  First one by the end of June and the other before the end of the year. 

·         Post a min of 5x per week on all blogs (I have 4 if you were wondering)

·         Learn to use adsense and affiliate links (for the two blogs I own, not the ones on Today.  I don’t know why but both things confuse the hell out of me)

There are a few others but they have to do with specific clients who might not want their business broadcast on my blog so they’ll stay in my little notebook.

I’ll be officially back tomorrow with a pretty kickass idea I stole from some tweety friends (101 things is the only hint I”m giving).  Anywho….I was a bit burned out between dad/holidays and work but I’m feeling all revved up and looking forward to the new year. 

Now guess what I’m doing to celebrate New Year’s Eve (other than the obvious blogging). Go on and guess, I’ll wait.  But don’t peek at the answer as that would be cheating.  Ok here it is.  I”m working!  Yeah well a girl has to do and all.  Actually I hope to be working a lot more this year, I just figured out how much money I made this year and it was oh….about 30k less than I made last year when I was a full time teacher.  Bit more probably but I refuse to dwell.  Anywho.  For all of you wild party animals out there try to have fun and stay safe at the same time!

Since I missed Musical Monday…and several other posts (see my political blog for an explanation) I thought I’d add a little Sara McLachlan love.  The name of this song is River and it, heck the entire Wintersong album, are way different from your typical Joy to the World Christmas schticks.  Maybe I love it because her voice is so….there….or because I’m a brooding bitchy person who needs a bit of brooding music for the holidays occasionally, but whatever ;)  Great music and if you don’t already own it you should definitely check out all of the songs.  Pretty sure I’ll be featuring another one over at WIUWP sometime before Christmas ;)
